Saturday In The Park
OMG! It’s beginning to feel like
Greenwich Village Summer Again!
This week Washington Square finally reopened to the public after 17 very long months of renovations. And each day since then, the crowds grow, the buskers play, drums beat, people wade in the fountain and Washinton Square Park begins to feel more and more like, uh, Washington Square.
Part of the 16 million dollar project involved moving the fountain 23 feet to the east to align it with the arch. Not so sure it has a natural flo, particularly when entering the park from the South – what seems to make sense on papers doesn’t always have the same visual effect.
Whatever. It’s summer in Greenwich Village. Time to dig the sandals out of storage
